Accommodation & Facilities
There are 66 superior rooms, each en-suite with a luxurious bathroom, and 6 suites, where bathrooms have a hot tub and shower, with a furnished balcony, private sitting rooms and veranda with lake views. Room service is 24 hours a day, rooms have a private safe, tea and coffee making facilities and TV’s, decorated in a pan-African style.
The restaurant looks out over the swimming pool towards the lake and there is the Ziwani Café, great for poolside BBQ’s and sundowners with live music and local dancers.
Rooms are non-smoking, but smoking rooms may be available on request.
Dining
The main restaurant, The Kiyaga Restaurant serves an extensive buffet breakfast, buffet and a la carte lunches and lots of dinner choices, with Rwandese, African and International cuisine. There are some wonderfully colour ful theme nights as well as monthly parties on the beach with a bonfire and live music.
Activities
Boat trips and water sports are available on the lake. Take a walk to explore the town of Gisenyi, a wonderful town where you can just wander around, or take a guided tour, and local fishing communities.
Child Policy
Children are welcome and adjoining accommodation can be arranged. Additional beds, baby-sitting and cots can be arranged with prior notice, and there are children’s meals as well as high chairs. The swimming pool is supervised by a qualified lifeguard, but children must not be left unattended.
